The ACRL Library Marketing and Outreach Discussion Group – Greater NYC Area -provides a discussion forum for librarians who are charged with developing marketing and outreach strategies for their libraries. The purpose of the IG is to discuss and brainstorm innovative strategies to successfully raise the profile of the library. Topics of discussion may include: developing a marketing plan, developing your library brand, creating a successful library event from start to finish, “spinning” a library disaster, developing and evaluating assessment tools to conduct market research, and developing an external communications plan.
The ACRL LMODG of Greater NYC is a discussion group of the Association of College and Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association.
